Fred Taylor, General Manager
Fred is originally from northern California, and lived in Colorado for twelve years before settling here in Florida in 2006. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Metropolitan State University of Denver. For the past 17 years, Fred has managed large communities and resorts with a high level of success. In his personal time, he enjoys spending time with the family, pets, and cycling. Fred is thankful to be part of the Zeman family and excited to be part of this team and brand new resort!
Lori Coleman, Guest Services & Experience
Lori is a former Michigander. She and her husband recently moved to Punta Gorda and absolutely love the area! Lori has a long history of property management and guest relations experience. She loves photography, painting, art and doesn’t mind a good party! Lori enjoys spending time with her family and is an animal lover! Planning and hosting events and activities is her favorite part of working at Southern Sands, and she looks forward to hosting and spending time with all of you!
Leonard Coleman, Maintenance Supervisor
Being a lifelong Michigander, Leonard finds living in Florida makes every day seem like a vacation. Len retired from a Supervisory position in the Automotive industry to enjoy Florida’s sunny days. He also has many years of experience with the Manufactured Housing Industry, as well as customer care and guest relations. Len is a die-hard Lions fan who enjoys spending time with his daughters(2), sons-in-law, grandchildren(5, soon to be 6!), and the family pup Tinkerbell. He looks forward to assisting our guests and making their stay memorable!

Ed Zeman, Chairman – Chairman and Partner
Ed Zeman, Chairman and Partner Zeman graduated from Eastern Illinois University with political science and business degrees in 1988. After completing his bachelor’s, Zeman began his career with Mobile Management Company as the Construction, Maintenance, and Repair Coordinator. He has since worked with several levels of the organization and possesses invaluable experience with numerous real estate entities, a finance company, a home sales company, and more recently, an insurance company, enabling him to provide a unique perspective. Zeman has owned and provided various companies with hands-on management. Ultimately responsible for their success, he has developed a thorough understanding of all issues affecting the bottom line. A self-described “been there, done that” entrepreneur, Zeman has been moving his company to become a professional management organization, continuing to work closely with associates in the daily management of the organization.
